Meet Our Leadership Team

Steven Puglisi

Partner, Principal Architect

Steven Puglisi is a gifted designer and spokesman with an accomplished career. Since moving to San Luis Obispo in 1973 he has designed numerous buildings that define the aesthetics of the Central Coast. Some of his earliest commercial projects include Marshall’s Jewelers, Café Roma, Rose's Landing, The Valentina, Villa Toscana, The Anderson Inn, and the Morgan Stanley Building. He has also designed numerous custom homes including The Clifford Chapman Estate, Villa Rosa in San Luis Obispo, Pacific Palisades in Shell Beach, and private residences in Pismo Heights. The New Times referred to Steve as “...more than just an architect. He’s one of SLO County’s best and most prolific designers, and his many buildings are familiar to everyone in SLO County.”

Mr. Puglisi’s strength lies in his breadth of knowledge and experience in navigating his design commissions through some of the most challenging political arenas in the state. As a gifted spokesman he has earned the respect and confidence of jurisdictions throughout the county, specifically the coastal zone. He is relied upon as an enduring, tireless champion for clients, team and community.

As principal architect of Pegasus Architecture, Steven has cultivated and mentored a trusted team of the most skilled professionals in the area. With every interaction, his team demonstrates four decades of the core values that have made the most iconic, timeless projects in the region successful.

Jeff Bague

Partner, Principal Architect

With over 40 years of experience, Jeff Bague has a deep understanding and broad perspective of the architecture industry. When working with Jeff, it’s clear he is truly passionate about his craft, gaining just as much pleasure from the detail around a fireplace as the design of a large hotel.

Jeff came into the industry in the days of hand drafting and hand-rendered illustrations. However, he was lucky enough to be on the forefront of the shift toward computer implementation. He believes environment and technology are both important aspects of the practice of architecture and is always striving to incorporate the latest methods of construction into design.

Over the years he has worked on a range of projects from fine custom homes, production track housing, commercial, retail, restaurants, hotels, churches, institutional buildings, and the occasional chicken coop (a personal hobby!). He has an unending desire to create beauty and emotion with his designs, and to deliver a final product that brings the client’s vision to life.

Jeff is actively involved in the local community and has served as a board member for the Arts Council, chair of the Public Arts Committee, and provides critiques and panel discussions for the Architecture department at Cal Poly SLO.

Kathy Puglisi

Executive Assistant

Kathy Puglisi is the consummate Executive Assistant, having been with the company since its inception, supporting her husband Steven Puglisi in every endeavor to bring success to the business. Beyond her administrative duties, Kathy's willingness to go above and beyond is exemplified in her assistance to clients, particularly in color choices, showcasing her keen eye for detail and commitment to client satisfaction. Additionally, Kathy has been instrumental in the company's recruitment efforts over the years, playing a vital role in assembling a talented team dedicated to the company's mission and values.

Cathy Reeser-Bague

Chief Financial Officer & Human Resources Officer

Cathy brings to the office a long history of management in national retail companies. She
previously managed Jeff’s earlier architectural firms and has a strong sense of financial
accountability and business acumen. Cathy has always treated her teams like family and builds
strong relationships from within and believes that the work environment should be fun and
deeply rooted in friendship and respect. She, like the other partners, believe that when
employees eventually leave the firm, they should leave enriched with their experience to be the
best that they can possibly be. Cathy and Jeff have been the best of friends long before they
were married and continue as such in their relationship and partnership. Over the years she has
been invaluable to Jeff’s practice as she has also dipped her hands into interior design in
college and has a keen eye for color and style.
